Admission Policy and Tuition

Admission decisions affect the Whittier Friends School's mission to provide quality education for those children who can benefit from and contribute to a program committed to Friend's philosophy, principles and values. Students of any race, sex, religion or nationality are welcome. Children must be at least 4 years, 9 months old to be admitted to kindergarten at the start of the school year in September. Returning students and their siblings are given first priority for available spaces.

In compliance with the California State Education Code, children are admitted only if their needs can be met by the program and if their admission will in no way impede the program's ability to meet the needs of the other enrolled students. Pre-admission interviews and/or consultation with the child's former teacher and/or principal are required. The faculty, with parental input, will make the final decisions about student placement.

Applications for 2010-2011 are available in the school office. A non-refundable $100 deposit is required with your application. This deposit will be credited towards your total tuition amount.
